ANGEL - Dianne Simpson
Having completed a degree in Dramatic Art at the Pretoria Technikon, Dianne
Simpson gained much experience in character work through various touring
programmes - mostly for schools. She then went to L.A. on a showcase in
front of Casting Directors (from “Frasier”, “Ally McBeal” etc.) and Agents.
Her most recent work includes -
Theatre: ‘A Pocket Oliver Twist ‘- Nancy; ‘The Picture
of Dorian Grey’ - Mrs. Vane ; ‘The Breakfast Club‘ -
Claire ; ‘The Crucible‘ - Abigail .
Film: In 2003 worked on the Warner Brothers Movie, “Racing Stripes”
as an on-set Voice Artist |

PEBBLES - Caryn Davidoff
Caryn has always had a love affair with the theatre and from her youngest
days was involved with theatre classes, speech and drama, playmaking,
singing and dancing. In 2002 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree
(Honors) at The University of the Witwatersrand.
Some of her most memorable performances were Juliet in Shakespeare’s
‘Romeo and Juliet‘ directed by Malcolm Purky (2000);
Helena in Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night Dream‘ directed
by Malcolm Purky (2001) and Mother Showman in ‘Venus Hottentot‘
directed by David Peimer, performed at both Wits University, Goldsmiths
London University and Bristol University in 2001.
She has since taught Speech and Drama at a private studio and at the
Liberty Theatre on the Square, to children of all ages. Caryn was one
of three who adjudicated the 2004 RAPS annual schools’ one act plays
festival. She also has a theatre company, The Plastered Cast Theatre
Co, which began in 2001 with two colleagues. They work in Corporate,
Educational and Straight theatre dealing with all aspects from script
writing through to directing and performance.
2003 saw Caryn in two memorable stage performances: ‘Shakers’
directed by Johnny Barbuzano at the Liberty Theatre – nominated for
a Naledi Award - and ‘Skin Deep‘ directed by Bongani
Linda performed at the Grahamstown Festival. |

ERIC - Jose Domingos
Multi-talented performer, director, producer and voice-over artist
Jose Domingos graduated from the Wits School of Dramatic Arts in 1997.
With extensive theatrical, commercial and film credits to his name,
Domingos is fast becoming a familiar face on both the small and big
screen. He has made numerous television appearances in series such as
‘Isidingo’, ‘Generations’ and ‘Scoop
Schoombie‘, and is currently working on a supporting role in
the newsroom drama ‘Hard Copy‘.
Domingos has twice been nominated for the FNB Vita Awards - Most Promising
Actor for ‘Bouncers’, and Best Supporting Actor for
‘Birdy’. Notorious for his comedic talent and improvisation
skills, Domingos appeared in the recent local hit ‘Gums ‘n Noses‘,
and the farcical ‘Polka’ ad.
His directorial career has included industrial and corporate work, as
well as the shows ‘Scratch and Bangalore Torpedo‘,
which he co-wrote and produced. |

PAUL - Daniel Janks
Upon completion of his degree at the Wits School of Dramatic Arts,
Janks entered the professional arena, appearing in numerous television
productions such as ‘Egoli’, ‘Isidingo’,
‘Generations’, ‘Zero Tolerance‘ and
‘Snitch’, as well as several corporate theatre productions
and commercial spots.
Janks’ film credits include appearances in ‘Gums ‘n Noses‘
and ‘Ali’, and most recently in HBO’s ‘Generation
Kill‘ mini-series.
In addition to performing, his involvement in the film industry extends
to various technical roles - camera operator, production assistant,
director and writer. |

Director, Writer - JOE VAZ
Multi-talented Joe Vaz began his professional career as an actor in 1994
in ‘Joseph’. He has since performed in shows such as ‘La Cage
Aux Folles‘, ‘Sweet Charity‘ and ‘Buddy
Holly‘ to name but a few. In addition to a long and varied career
in musical theatre, he has worked extensively as a puppeteer, voice artist
and actor. Joe’s initial encounter with crewing was being 1st AD for Damon
Berry on his debut film - ‘Engage’ ever since which he
has become addictred to on-set life. Joe is an accomplished singer, songwriter
and musician. He has worked as an audio producer, video editor and web
designer, is a gifted scriptwriter and comic genius- but he doesn’t skydive.

Director of Photography - DAMON BERRY
Four years ago Damon started his own production company and directed
his first short film - Engage. Since then he has worked on a documentary
for the UN, worked on several corporate videos, as well as other short
films as well as being one of the producers on The Quickies
One Minute Film Festival. His entry - Sex Drive
- is currently a finalist on the New York Minute Film Festival.
In 2003, Damon won the bronze award for best cinematographer by the
South African Society of Cinematographers. He is currently developing
a feature screenplay.

With over ten years of experience in audio mixing and producing, Mico
has the expertise and the dedication to provide the best possible quality.
Mico has also worked as a musician, songwriter, puppeteer and voice
artist for television.
Most recently Mico has been working as a floor-manager and script-writer
for the hit MNET sitcom ‘The Coconuts‘. |
